So this card started with paper that I found on a clearance rack at Robert’s Crafts. It had a cute rainbow edge on the bottom that was the portion to be cut off and discarded. As you can see I could not bring myself to throw away such a cute border. Instead I cut it off and then glued it back on to make the bottom of the card. It turned out so cute.

I have a fabulous machine, the Silhouette SD. That is where I found and cut the bird image, the branch image and the small flower. I used a brown pigment brush around the edges of everything to give it a more rustic, broken in feel. The branch is only glued down in the upper left corner and the rest is left to come slightly off the page. The bird is layered and has 3-D glue dots between each layer to give it a 3-D look. As for the Get Well Soon, I simply printed that off my computer onto blue cardstock…the lettering is printed in brown.
